Welcome to Bhaskarprabha
Where Mathematics Transforms into an Adventure
Transforming Mathematics into Life’s Greatest Strength
Inspired by the ancient Gurukul tradition, we go beyond textbooks—fostering deep understanding, creativity, and life skills through the beauty of mathematics.
At Bhaskarprabha Foundation, mathematics isn’t about memorizing formulas—it’s an adventure into understanding why they work, how they were discovered, and how they can be applied creatively.
With hands-on, mentor-guided learning, we turn math into a subject that’s simple, logical, and even exciting.

About Us
Our Story
Founded in 2022 by Tejas Kulkarni Aacharya and Aditya Maheshwari Sir, Bhaskarprabha Foundation is India’s first traditional Ganit Shastra Paathshala (Maths Gurukul) dedicated to core mathematics education.
Tejas Kulkarni Aacharya completed the Mahapariksha in Bharatiya Ganitshastra at Shringeri Peeth, and Aditya Maheshwari Sir is a Professor at IIM Indore.
We blend ancient wisdom—drawing from timeless granthas—with modern mathematical approaches to create a learning experience that connects the past with contemporary applications.
Vision & Mission
- Vision: Bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern applications.
- Mission: Empower students with deep, personalized learning in both ancient and modern mathematics, transforming them into confident, independent problem solvers.
Our Principles (The Gurukul Ethos)
Free Education & Facilities
Education, accommodation, and all related activities are provided free of charge.
Swavalamban
Students take responsibility for daily routines, developing discipline, independence, and leadership.
Adhyayan & Adhyapan
Learning by teaching strengthens understanding and boosts confidence.
Cultural Integrity
All instruction and communication take place in Sanskrit, preserving tradition.
Our Programs
1. Ganit Shastra (Ancient Mathematics)
Our flagship 5-year course is designed for students aspiring to become pandits in Ganit Shastra.
Curriculum Overview:
The course includes study of 10 Granthas, divided between ancient texts in Sanskrit and modern subjects.
Ancient Granthas:
- Leelavati – Foundational text
- Beejganitam – Groundwork for deeper understanding
- Saraltrikonmiti
- Rekhaganitam
- Pratibhabodhakam
- Ganitsaarsangraha etc.
Modern Granthas:
- Algebra for Beginners
- Coordinate Geometry
- Number Theory
- Calculus etc.
Examinations:
Indian Mathematics Exams (Ganit Shastra) are conducted twice a year (June and December) at Shree Datta Devasthan Trust, Ahilyanagar (formerly Ahmednagar), Maharashtra.
2. Modern Mathematics (Online)
Learn math easily from home with our online classes that cover:
- Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and more
- Live sessions, recorded lectures, and personalized mentoring
- An approach that simplifies complex topics and builds lasting confidence
3. Statistics and Computer Science
This program integrates the rigor of statistical methods with computer science fundamentals, preparing students for data analysis, computational problem-solving, and modern mathematical applications.
Residential Program
Experience Gurukul Living:
Immerse yourself fully in a traditional learning environment on campus. Live alongside peers, attend daily lessons, and build strong mentor relationships.
Day Program
Flexibility for Local Students:
Attend classes during the day without residential commitments, enjoying the same high-quality education while living at home.
Current Activities
- New students start their journey with the Leelavati Granth.
